Aqua Floral Nursery for Baby Girl
This blog post contains affiliate links, but I only recommend products I use and love. My full disclosure policy is really boring, but you can read the rest here. When I found out I was pregnant I could not wait to find out the baby’s gender. For all the obvious reasons of course, but also because I couldn’t wait to get started on the nursery! I had general themes picked out for each gender. When it turned out we were having a girl, I knew I wanted to do a pastel floral theme.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to start on the nursery until a couple of months ago and finally just finished. Painting the walls, furniture, and making flowers and the like made it quite the long process. Not to mention I am a bit of perfectionist, so I kept finding things to work on or add to it. (Still not really done tweaking everything, but I finally decided it’s time to get on with it.)
So without further ado, my sweet baby girl’s aqua floral nursery.
I really fell in love with this bedding on Pinterest and knew that’s what I wanted to base the nursery off of. I went to the Etsy shop the pin linked to, but it was sold out. Even went as far as to message the shop owner about it and found out that the fabric was out of print. I searched high and low for it anyway, and some friends offered to look for it as well. Eventually, I gave up hope and ordered some other floral fabric to make similar bedding myself. The very next day my friend Colleen found THE EXACT SET at a secondhand store nearby. What are the odds?! I got it for a steal too: $40! (Thanks Colleen!)
I fell in love with this dresser I saw on Pinterest and after a lot of searching, my mom found the exact one on Craigslist! I got the table from a local Facebook sale group. A lady was selling these oil paintings on a local Facebook page and I thought they would be the perfect fit.
I sewed the changing pad cover with coordinating fabric I found on Etsy. I also painted the K to match the dresser and made felt flowers for it.
My mom and I found the little mint rocker at a Homegoods. Knowing I would probably never find it again, I couldn’t pass it up! My mom’s friend Melissa gave us the pink chair and the toy chest. (Thanks Melissa!)

***Update as of October 19, 2017*** I am currently taking a limited amount of new orders, but I’ll have an extended turnaround time of 10 weeks.
A few answers to some frequently asked questions. This set is $225 with shipping. Due to my textured walls, I had to hang the flowers with push pins. Command strips and velcro are options otherwise. If you would like to have your own nursery featured on my blog, email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
It took me a lot longer than I had planned, but I’m happy with the end result!
